耳机里传出的歌声也许还在倾诉着离愁别绪，但是许多小伙伴已经踏上了归家之旅。

道路千千万，最想去的终点永远都是家乡。经历了一年的栉风沐雨，只为离家的方向更近一点。

告别了从前车马很慢的日子，如今的春运，我们的回家路更加便捷快速，出行方式也更加多样化。

今天，CGTN主持人Jeff Moody和外籍记者Omar Khan兵分两路，分别从高铁和公路出发，为你带来不一样的春运回家故事。

The Spring Festival travel rush, or Chunyun in Chinese, embraced the planet's largest human migration as Chinese people headed home to reunite with family. During the 40-day travel rush, nearly 3 billion trips will be made via China's transport networks. 

But what will you experience when choosing different means of transportation? CGTN host Jeff Moody and reporter Omar Khan joined the travel rush on Friday, making their way by high-speed rail and highway, respectively. Follow Jeff and Omar's journey to see the different routes of returning home. 

Jeff开“地图炮”：“和英国铁路相比，中国高铁不知道高到哪里去了”

今早北京最低温达到-11摄氏度，10点就在高铁站开始做直播的CGTN主播Jeff Moody可算是冷到灵魂出窍了。

在旅程开始之前，Jeff不仅猛夸了一遍中国高铁的高效运营，还没忘记顺便吐槽一下英国的铁路系统。

Before 10 a.m., CGTN anchor Jeff Moody arrived at the Beijing West Train Station, waiting for a bullet train traveling from Beijing to Zhengzhou in central China’s Henan Province.

"Where I come from, the United Kingdom, if you would have a quarter of a million people in one train station, it will bring chaos! But not in China," Jeff said,  impressed by China's efficiency and staff as millions of people surge onto the trains.

上车后，Jeff利用直播间隙给小编送来了一小段感想，感觉和早晨零下11度的站台相比，Jeff可是相当享受他的列车时光。

"And once on board, again a surprise. I’d heard stories of Chun Yun from years ago... crowded trains, people sitting on the floor, in toilets, by the doors... but one thing China is good at is seeing a problem and fixing it.   

Now, hundreds of extra trains are deployed to make sure the journey is as comfortable as can be. I was expecting, at this point, to be tired, cramped, claustrophobic... instead, I've just finished a very pleasant beef dinner and I'm now looking out as the fields skim by.   

I'm glancing at the signs which tell me I'm traveling at 296 kilometers per hour. But you just wouldn’t think it was that fast. The train is smooth, comfortable and friendly. Just like the boarding process. Time then, for a little snooze."

同一时段，CGTN记者崔汇骜来到北京铁路总局总控室，在那里带回实时路况。今年春节，铁路预计发送旅客人次将超过4亿。

Omar小“吐槽”：开车回家似乎有点boring哦，但…… 

除了乘坐高铁动车，也有许多旅客选择在春运期间开车回家。

27岁的工程师骆世新在北京工作。今年春节，小骆和妻子还有父母开车从北京返回河南信阳老家。

CGTN记者Omar Khan加入了小骆的回家之旅。

For Luo Shixin, the 27-year-old operation engineer who works and lives in Beijing, returning to his hometown is perhaps the greatest thing in life, as he usually goes back home once a year. 

This year, Luo and his wife and their parents planned to go home by car. CGTN reporter Omar Khan joined Luo's journey back to his hometown Xinyang, central China's Henan Province. 

据小骆介绍，以前他们大多也坐火车回家，但是有时还是抢不到回家的车票。于是从去年开始，小骆一家就选择开车回家。

According to Luo, they used to return home by train. However, sometimes it was hard to buy the train tickets during the Spring Festival travel rush. So last year, Luo and his family chose to drive a car home. 

小骆一家从京港澳高速出发，全程大概需要10到11小时。

一路上，Omar还小小地“吐槽”了一番：坐在车后座上实在不是一趟“激动人心”的旅程。

不过对于小骆一家来说却是非常稳妥的一种方式。小骆的妻子现在怀有三个月身孕，如果途中身体不适，还可以在休息区略作休整。

The Luo family decided to drive via the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, which would take them 10 to 11 hours.  

Sitting in the back of a car might not be the most exciting way to go back home, but you can travel at your own pace. It was also the best way for Luo's three-month pregnant wife, as they could stop to have a break whenever she felt uncomfortable. 

租车自驾回家成为新趋势

2019年1月27日，京港澳高速公路粤北站迎来出省车流高峰。

今年春运，公路预计发送旅客11.8亿人次，比去年增长了约9%。而在这些公路出行大军中，有许多旅客选择租车自驾回家。

相同路程，飞机、火车以及租车价格比较

如今租车自驾回家已经成为一种新趋势。和高铁、飞机相比，租车回家在成本上更胜一筹。

虽然现在春运大家已经不需要通宵排队买票，但还是会有火车票、机票“一票难求”的情况，相比之下，租车自驾就成了一个不错的选择。

According to statistics from the transportation bureau, 1.18 billion car trips are expected during the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush this year, a roughly 9-percent increase compared with last year.

It is worth noting that among those who return home by car, many choose to rent vehicles and drive home by themselves. Renting a car to go back home has become a new trend as it is much cheaper than traveling by high-speed train or by air. 

Long queues inside ticketing halls have become a memory, now that buying train or plane tickets just requires a few taps on the smartphone. But during the travel rush, sometimes it is still hard to buy tickets, thus many choose to rent a car.
